Principal Design Strategist @ Fjord, Germany

What is your typical "day in the life of a designer" ?

The exciting part of my job is that I get to work on a variety of projects with different clients and industries, meaning every day at work is completely different! Typically my process usually starts with research online or out in the world and then sifting through all the insights gathered to spot any potential opportunities. Finally the best part is co-creating with clients to bring these opportunities to life as awesome real life solutions or prototypes.

Design principles you live by?

1) Empathy is KEY to understanding someone's experience

2) People watching, because you never know what you will find when you look around!

3) Play and be playful.

4) Start with the unexpected, the unconventional, and the out of the box.

5) You are only as good as your team.

What problem can't you stop thinking about?

A silly one...but why are bathroom stalls in the airport so tiny so that you can never fit your luggage inside?

Okay okay, on a more serious note I would love to look more into how consumerism and ownership will change in the future as people begin to work and live more hybrid, remote, or nomadic?

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
